Carlito & Alysia Suarez established Lawns by Carlito over a decade ago. Our primary motivation was simple: to spend our days immersed in the work we are passionate about while simultaneously making a positive impact on our community by creating job opportunities.
Carlito gained invaluable insights into developing effective lawn care programs from his extensive rice farming experience in the Dominican Republic. Rice plants have very similar management needs as fescue lawns and look almost identical. That experience gave him the knowledge to proactively detect potential diseases, manage pests and weeds, and address various health issues throughout the year.
Alysia’s journey to Lawns by Carlito began with a business background. After working on an agricultural project with chocolate farmers during her time in the Peace Corps, she found herself drawn to outdoor work. Equipped with a Master’s degree from Western Carolina University, she made the decision to leave the confines of an office and focus full-time on Lawns by Carlito. Alysia handles customer service, provides consultations, and designs projects for our clients. She acts as the crucial link between our clients’ requests and our crew leaders, ensuring that all teams consistently meet our clients’ needs.
The husband and wife team, Carlito & Alysia, are committed to our employees and building a knowledgeable and skilled team.
