Carlito & Alysia Suarez are the husband-and-wife team that started Lawns by Carlito with the goal of spending their days doing what they love and creating jobs within the community. Their focus has been providing professional lawn services backed by solid customer service. They have been managing the company together for the past decade and are proud of the team they have built and happy to be able to provide living wages for all employees.

A lot, actually. Rice plants have similar management needs as fescue lawns and as you can see in the pictures below, they both appear very similar.

Carlito’s background of rice farming in the Dominican Republic, has provided a wealth of knowledge and understanding in how to create effective lawn care programs that can both detect disease and health issues early and manage pests and weeds throughout the year.
Carlito oversees the day-to-day operations and works closely with our manager and team leaders to ensure all staff are fully trained and knowledgeable in both the technical aspects of the job and the customer service standards set forth by the company.

Alysia has a background in business and ever since she served with the Peace Corps on an Agricultural project with Chocolate Farmers, she knew she loved working outdoors. After getting her Master's Degree from Western Carolina University she decided she wanted to break free from the office and joined Lawns by Carlito full time.
She handles Lawns by Carlito’s administrative and customer service needs as well as providing consultations and designing projects for clients. She is an important link between client requests and crew leaders so she meets with the teams regularly to ensure client’s needs are met.

Lawns by Carlito strongly believes that we never stop learning. Our teams participate in annual continuing education classes through the North Carolina Nurseries and Landscape Association to keep up-to-date with the latest industry standards and best practices.
Lawns by Carlito has a NC Landscape Contractor License and is a proud member of the National Hispanic Landscape Alliance and North Carolina Nursery & Landscape Association. We have our NC pesticide applicator license, and we are bonded and fully insured.
